Unplugged is for all...

Garstang Unplugged supports, promotes and encourages all acoustic music and the club is intended to encourage all levels of ability.
We welcome performers, singers, songwriters, and most definately those who just want to come and listen.

So Does 'Unplugged' mean 'Unplugged'?

Well, er, actually no. We have a full Peavey PA system with Shure SM58s. The 'unplugged' refers more to the type of music we are encouraging - so it's in
much the same way as Clapton plays unplugged, or McTell, or Katie Melua. You
know the sort of thing. We will have special guests from the current folk and acoustic scene, for a really good night out.
Probably not the place for you if you're into
Megadeath, though...

Caroline suggests we "Shaddup and Drive!"

The wednesdays will be a mixture of singers nights and guest nights. Usually we will be looking for someone to do a support spot on guest nights - your chance to get noticed!

Club nights will be the last wednesday in each month, for eleven months a year.
Club nights start at 8.00 pm at the Kenlis Arms (see 'contact us' page for details and link).

We intend that the club will have a social side too, with visits to other venues and so on - it's a great place to make new friends and meet like minded people.

Why not spend the day walking the fells, have a few beers and songs with us at Garstang Unplugged, and book into the Kenlis for B and B??! Perfect!!
